Arbor Day Celebration is April 25

Join the City of Hopkins for an Arbor Day Celebration on Thursday, April 25, from 3 to 5 p.m., on Mainstreet between 5th and 6th Avenues. Stop by for cookies and help the City plant a few trees along Mainstreet. 

Board and Commission Application Deadline is April 26

Interested in serving your community? The City of Hopkins is seeking applicants to serve on our boards and commissions. Boards and commissions perform a vital role in the life of our community. Many of the City’s decisions, policies, and procedures are founded on recommendations from a board or commission. The City currently has openings on the Planning and Zoning Commission, Park Board and Charter Commission. Learn more about City boards and commissions, and apply online.

Spring Bulk Item Drop-Off is April 26-27

The City is holding its annual spring bulk item drop-off event on Friday, April 26, from 3 to 7 p.m., and Saturday, April 27, from 9 a.m. to noon. For a $20 fee plus taxes, you can drop off one appliance and up to three cubic yards worth of trash (the equivalent of one pick-up truckload). Shred-N-Go will also be on-site for confidential destruction of documents. Payment will be processed by card at the event. Find more information about the drop-off event.
