Greetings! Thank you for your past participation and future interest in the Hopkins Apartment Managers Association (HAMA). HAMA meetings are held three times a year and are coordinated by city staff from Planning & Development, Police, and Fire Department. We welcome suggestions for topics and speakers. Feel free to bring lunch to enjoy while you join us at the meeting.

Upcoming Meeting Information

The next HAMA meeting will be held on Tuesday, September 24, 2024 from 12:00 p.m. (noon) to 1:00 p.m. at the Hopkins Fire Department (3rd floor training room)

Agenda topics for the meeting include:

1. Energy Efficiency and Water Efficiency

Property owners for multifamily buildings with 5 or more units are eligible for a free energy efficiency audit, which will identify areas on how to save money and make the building more energy efficient through the Multi Family Building Efficiency Program. Property owners may apply for a water efficiency rebate after replacing existing showerheads, toilets, clothes washing machines, residential dishwashers, or irrigation systems with an Energy Smart or WaterSense certified product, or by completing an irrigation audit. 2. Bike and Pedestrian Planning

Kurt Howard, a Planner with the City, will be sharing an overview of the ways that the City of Hopkins and broader community are working to make Hopkins a place where basic transportation needs can be met without dependence on cars, as well as an invitation to learn about and provide input on the City’s upcoming End-of-Trip Facilities Plan.
