Retirement Party at the Hopkins Activity Center is January 13

Did you retire in the last year? Will you be retiring soon? Celebrate at a special Retirement Party event devoted to welcoming you into the vibrant and active community at the Hopkins Activity Center on Tuesday, January 13, from 1 to 2 p.m. Join this new retiree celebration featuring sweet and savory snacks along with engaging conversation about “what’s next?” Explore lifelong learning opportunities, gather resources for travel, discover volunteer opportunities, special interest clubs and a whole host of activities available to become involved in. State of the City is January 29

The 2026 State of the City returns to the Hopkins Center for the Arts on Thursday, January 29. A reception will be held from 5 to 6 p.m., followed by a presentation in the theater. The State of the City event offers community members and business owners the opportunity to learn more about the workings of the City in a relaxed setting. Keep an eye out for more information in the coming weeks. 

Small Business Grants Program

Main Street America and Amex are offering the Shop Small Grants Program. Eligible small business owners across the U.S. can apply for $20,000 grants. Applications are accepted until Friday, January 16. Learn more online.
