Burglar & Fire Alarm Registration
Individuals and businesses are charged $35 per year for their fire alarm system and $35 for their police (panic, burglary, duress, medical, holdup) alarm system. This annual registration allows the police and fire to keep more up-to-date records on alarm holders and important keyholder information.
Register Your Alarms
There are two ways to submit an Alarm User Permit Application:
- You can submit an Alarm User Permit application online. Payment is taken through PayPal. You must sign-in or create an account before completing the application form. Fill out the Alarm User Permit online form. OR
- Download and complete the Alarm User Permit Application (PDF). Return the signed application with fee to:

Failure to Register
Failure to register will incur a $100 fine. More information about the City's Alarm Ordinance can be found in the Hopkins City Code, Chapter 24 Article III.
